Meet Helyn Collins, our Sales Progression Manager

What does your role encompass at Go View London?

I am principally responsible for ensuring the property sales that are agreed by our offices are administered correctly, with all parties being fully aware of the progress of the transaction and to ensure they enjoy their home moving experience.  Buyers feel a great sense of excitement when they make that purchasing decision and with the right levels of communication and guidance, we can help ensure that same feeling on completion day!

Where did you work before joining Go View?

I worked for NatWest for 20 years and during that period I learnt a lot in a variety of roles from customer service to probate officer, all of which has built up my skill set involving client communication.  Following on from this, I worked in two long term estate agency jobs in Reading where I discovered sales progression is my passion within the industry given the complexities and interpersonal skills involved.

What should vendors do to make their sale go as smooth as possible?

I feel clients should fully take on board what is discussed at the valuation stage from the agent in order to be ready for coming onto the market and accepting an offer on their property.  This includes the important decision of choosing the right solicitor who can help get clients fully organised with paperwork in hand even before a buyer is found.

What recommendations would you give to first time buyers?

Buying a property for the first time can be daunting but, once you’ve got the right budget for you, here’s my best three tips.

Firstly, talk to your family and friends for advice who have gone through the process before.

Then look closely at the areas you are considering moving to, do they suit your needs? Now and in the future?

Thirdly, be open to view properties that may not be on your wish list but could be recommended by your agent, you never know and sometimes it’s good to put some faith in the agent!

How does Go View London go above and beyond to help clients?

We’ve sold properties where either the buyer of seller is not in the country for a period of time during the transaction but on each occasion, we have exceeded our customer care and expectations to ensure a smooth move to exchange and completion despite time differences and the need for different ways of communication i.e. WhatsApp, facetime and even out of hours phone calls.

How do you like to relax away from work?

Away from work I like to go with my partner into central London, principally for the theatre as we love the atmosphere and excitement.  Recently we saw Hello Dolly at the London Palladium on its last night which made it very special.  I also enjoy fancy restaurants and keep an eye out for new ones opening.

Any great local places that readers should look out for?

Acton and Ealing are full of hidden gems to discover!  Working in Churchfield Road we are lucky to have a variety of restaurants and a number of independent shops and traders where you can buy most things from fresh farm eggs to the best coffees.  Whenever I need a gift or card, I find The Village Trading Store the place to go with their fabulous choice of unusual gifts and treasures.
