Meet The Team

Tell us a bit about your background?

I was born and raised in Ealing and attended Acton High School. My career started in the health and fitness industry, working for Virgin Active and Nuffield Health before making a jump into the property industry 12 years ago, specialising in lettings.

On the personal side, I was lucky enough to meet my wonderful wife, Emily, I am now a proud Dad to two boys, so my days are pretty full!

When did you start at Go View London, and how has your position evolved in that time?

I started at Go View in June 2013 as a Lettings Negotiator and celebrated my 10th anniversary last year. We opened our Acton branch in 2018, and I was promoted to Lettings Manager. In January 2023, I was promoted to Area Lettings Manager, and now oversee both Acton and Ealing offices.

What is the most memorable let you have been involved in?

A few years ago, I rented a beautiful house on Tring Avenue to a professional footballer who had just signed for Brentford FC when they were in the Championship; we had a few lets to them that summer as they made some signings, and word seemed to spread that they were happy with our service.

One of the Brentford lets involved one of the management team brought in, and unfortunately, there was an early release clause activated, the perils of professional football!

What do you like about your role and working in estate agency?

No two days are ever the same, and I love dealing with people. I am now fortunate to manage a fantastic team and really enjoy watching their progress in their own individual careers. I have built great relationships with our landlords over the years too, and consider some of them to be friends.

What have you learned during your time in estate agency?

Build relationships – things don’t happen overnight. If you spend time with people and listen to what they are looking for and what matters to them then you have the foundations of a great, long-term relationship.

What advice would you give someone thinking of renting out their property?

If you are relocating from your own property, have a clear picture of your timescale and how long you will give the process of tenant find, plus the contractual work and completion date.

Generally, get all your paperwork and safety certificates up to date from the point of marketing and don’t wait until a tenant is found. Some tenants may need to move quickly, and you don’t want to miss out on a potentially great tenant due to not being able to line up contractors.

For picking an agent to work with, look at online agent reviews via Google which gives a good indication of the service and reputation of agents in your area and on the valuation ask questions about the types of tenants that would be attracted to your property and what would make your property stand out from the competition.

What do you like to do away from work?

I have two boys under 5, so my hands are pretty full! You will find me in the local park or at softplay on weekends. I am a loyal (and you need to be very loyal currently!) QPR supporter, so I try to watch as many games as I can. When we are fortunate to get a babysitter then fine dining at local restaurants is always a pleasure!

Where do you like to go in Acton and Ealing when not working?

There is so much to choose from, but staying local to Churchfield Rd, The Station House has great food and is always a warm welcome in a lovely environment. Just up the road, Churchfield Food Store is a great option for a quick bite and great coffee. For something different, there is Ezo Sushi, which is small and intimate but amazing sushi.

Ealing has seen some well-known restaurants open up in recent years, but maybe slightly unheralded if you get into Dickens Yard, there is a lovely fresh Pasta restaurant, Remoli, and another little hidden gem but on the other side is Park’s Kitchen on Ealing Green for some Korean food.
