This time of year, as it gets a bit colder outside, and as that cold air meets the heat of our homes, our property management department gets increased notifications of condensation issues.
If you don’t deal with condensation, it can develop into greater and longer-lasting problems. These include damp and mould.
Some tips to avoid condensation in the home:
- Try to heat the home evenly throughout and wipe down any windows where condensation occurs.
- Leave trickle vents open or windows slightly open to ventilate these surfaces
- If drying clothes try to keep them in a room with a door closed and the window open.
- If you can, ventilate the air in the room with a fan, given its usage will reduce the moisture in the air.
If you are experiencing or you would like advice on how to prevent condensation from forming, please get in touch with our property management department. Tel: 020 8992 0333, option 3.
