The Parks
Acton Park
Just over 27 acres of park life and numerous mature trees, including London planes and oaks. Also boasting sporting facilities and a kid’s playground.
Blondin Park
Situated on the border of Northfields is this large park of some 21 acres popular with recreational users and dog walkers.
Bramley Gardens
A small but perfectly formed park, re-opened in 2012 with the Children’s Log Cabin, library and natural play area at its forefront.
Brent Lodge Park & Churchfields
In Hanwell’s Golden Manor, within the park there is an animal centre and a grade 2 listed stable block which remains from an old manor house, which burned down in the 1930’s. Modern playground facilities, maze for children and extensive hay meadows.
Dean Gardens
At the top of Northfields Ave, is this open space with playground facilities formerly known as Ealing Dean Common and was petitioned by residents to be used as a park as far back as 1909.
Drayton Green
An open space with sporting facilities and children’s play centre that forms part of ‘The Draytons’, a residential area near to West Ealing station.
Ealing Common
In the heart of Ealing, this beautiful open space provides tranquillity in the heart of a bustling town centre. Surrounded by beautiful period property and benefiting from a locally well-renowned pub and restaurant in its far corner.
Elthorne Park
Just off Boston Manor Rd, this park offers sporting facilities and hosts the Hanwell Carnival.
Fox Wood Nature Reserve
Site of importance for nature conservation, grade 1, and was part of the Fox Reservoir that was opened in 1888 and drained in 1943 to prevent it being a navigational aid for enemy pilots.
Gunnersbury Park
English Heritage recognises Gunnersbury Park as one of the most important parks in the country. It has an idyllic duck pond set just off the former Rothschild summer residence, and boasts a pitch and putt golf course.
Gurnell Grove
Just outside the public swimming pool and gym centre is this park containing various sporting facilities and skate park for children. Footpath link up to Castlebar Halt conservation area.
Hanger Hill Park
Slopped grassland park which is thought to be above an air-raid shelter from World War 2. Now containing a pitch and putt golf course and plentiful natural springs and native oak trees.
Haven Green
Bordered by restaurants and bars, this garden square with benches is set around shrubbery opposite Ealing Broadway station.
Lammas Park
Formal park of some 25 acres stretching from St Mary’s Rd to Northfields. Great sports facilities and free to use outside gym.
Montpelier Park
A small woodland that sits between Mount Ave, Montpelier Ave, Helena Rd, and Eaton Rise.
North Acton Playing Fields
A large open space for recreational sport with facilities for football, cricket and tennis. Close to Acton Main Line station.
Pitshanger Park
Bordering River Brent and Ealing Golf Club on its northern perimeter, popular with dog walkers due to its large open spaces and convenient access close to Pitshanger Lane. Hosts the annual ‘Party in the Park’.
Walpole Park
With Pitzhanger Manor House, designed by Sir John Soane, its jewel in the crown, the Park recently underwent a large scale refurbishment and is located just off Ealing Green.
